Music Event Promotional Materials

As with my other graphic materials, existing materials within similar genres were reviewed prior to starting any design work on the project. I produced these promotional materials with both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Utilizing the software separately allowed me to leverage the strengths of each software and produce results which satisfied project objectives.

It was developed with both my personal experience with the genre as well as online research of comparable works. This demonstrated a critical evaluation of genre within a visual medium. Some themes which were consistent in this genre were country apparel and crowds. To match this, I selected an artist in appropriate country attire and created a background image of a crowd. These images had to be modified slightly to match tone and appearance within the final composition. Selecting a font for this project that delivered the correct tone while retaining professionalism and clarity was difficult but straightforward, I simply searched through multiple font repositories for a handful of candidate fonts before mocking up the deliverables with each option.
