This was an extensive project requiring the development of multiple media assets for the promotion and organization of a conference. I created graphics for table trees, online ads, and the conference pamphlet, all of which were also mocked up with photoshop to give the customer a more realistic feel for how the product would look in print.
This demonstrates the ability to create a full suite of promotional materials for an event from scratch with little to no pre-existing content while maintaining consistency in stylistic choices appropriate for both the medium and the genre.
Using a modern, professional tool like InDesign enabled my success in achieving stylistic consistency across many pages and several content types. I also leveraged photoshop to revamp branded materials and head shots so that they melded into a coherent whole. When approaching the writing and design options within the pamphlet, I ensured that they met the needs of the audience by selecting fonts and colors with adequate contrast and size for attendees with imperfect vision to read written material at a glance. I also maintained appropriate page margins and gutters to ensure that physical materials would not become unusable with light physical wear.
I used photoshop to mock these conference materials up into finished products which could be shown to a client. This is an extremely useful final step in preparing materials for print. The client should be empowered during the iterative stages by showing them what the product will actually look like upon delivery. Print differs so much from the screen that it is difficult to accurately communicate the finished look of a product without mock ups and test prints.
