This content was created for the YouTube platform and was intended to compete within the genre of timelapse videos tutorials. I shot, edited, and performed the actions within the video. To create a spliced video of sufficient length for the assignment, I condensed hours of footage into a few minutes. Before tackling this project, I decided to utilize something that I was already doing to create content for the video. Meal prepping seemed like an appropriate activity which generated plenty of source material for a aggressively stepped time-lapse project.

This project demonstrated the capacity to create content across multiple media technologies with an awareness of genre themes. I used several tools in Adobe Premiere to produce the end result but the most heavily used tools related to navigating through source material, cutting clips, and removing portions of videos. To improve the speed of these operations, I established hot keys which saved a significant amount of time by the end of the project. My biggest lesson learned was to spend more time in the pre-shoot phase determining desired shots and scripting the video more aggressively. Thorough planning delivers better results.
